Candidate will work with an amazing team of 7 cvt's and four doctors. Boarded surgeon and cardiologist on staff
Responsibilities include patient history, animal restraint, patient treatments, monitoring anesthesia, surgical prep, blood analysis machines( Abaxis and indexx), animal husbandry.
Salary range is hourly 13.00-30.00 per hour. Some evenings and Saturday morning is required

Employment opportunity:  I am looking for teaching assistants for the (VT217) Small Animal Clinical and Emergency Procedures labs Tuesday’s through Friday’s for the fall semester 2017 (September to December).  In these labs, you will help students learn and refine restraint techniques, venipuncture, bandaging, administering medications, nail trims, anal gland expression, CPR and more.  There are 6 labs in need of a teaching assistant; each lab is 3 hours long.  These are fun labs where you can share your experience and expertise with current students who are eager to learn.  If you are interested in becoming a teaching assistant, please send your resume to me, Dr. Stephanie Marks at: smarks@manor.edu or fax: ATTN DR. Pennsylvania Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Associates at Hickory Veterinary Hospital is looking for CVTs or experience Veterinary Technicians for our busy specialty and emergency practice located in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Pennsylvania Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Associates is an AAHA Accredited Specialty Hospital for Surgery, Emergency Critical Care and Oncology and an Accredited Traditional Hospital.  Only 7% of all Referral Hospitals nationwide are accredited and only 12% of all Traditional Veterinary Hospitals nationwide are accredited. We comply with over 900 standards to achieve and maintain this distinction. 

We are interviewing for a Surgical technician and 2 Inpatient technicians and an Outpatient Technician. We are interested in speaking with CVTs or experienced technicians for full time positions. Currently our hospital has 14 veterinarians with specialties in Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Emergency/Critical Care, Rehabilitation, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Neurology and General Medicine. Currently we have 28 technicians as well as a competent, caring and compassionate office and kennel staff to assist clients and patients.

Fox Chase Cancer Center
SCIENTIFIC TECHNICIAN, LAB ANIMAL FACILITY – Full Time

This position will involve basic mouse husbandry within gnotobiotic isolators, including monitoring of animals as well as sterilization and introduction of food, cages, bedding, water, and environmental enrichment as necessary.

The candidate will perform complex and specialized duties requiring technical expertise to maintain and monitor the progression of implanted human tumor tissue. The technician must have a thorough knowledge of BSL2 and ABSL2 procedures. The individual will provide technical assistance to research laboratories upon request including xenografting of tumors, tissue collection, collection of blood, injection techniques, treatment procedures and necropsies.

BS Required. AALAS certification preferred. Prior experience working with laboratory rodents would be helpful.
